The life, given by the Allah is the most beautiful and grateful for us. Allah has shaped different styles of bodies of homo species and gave the most precious thing to us in form of health to us . Health means a lot in our life, without health we are powerless to do any toil or deed. .
In this fast running generation the youth of country means lot and have responsibilities to carry the country in a fine way and make a record in the history of world but regrettably ceiling youths are blocking their vivacity to take drugs and turn out to be what we call the “Drug Addicts”. Drug abuse is a serious public health problem that affects society and family. Drug abuse also plays a role in many major social problems, such as drugged driving, violence, stress and child abuse. Drug abuse can lead to homelessness, crime and missed work or problems with keeping a job.
Almost 23 million peoples were addicted to illegal drugs and this figure rises every day. Drugs menace take firm roots very fast in our country and numerous youths are taking drugs every given day, even they can’t live without drugs. Drugs have become their daily food and habit. Nobody knows that why the youth takes drugs, what is the reason behind it even national institution on drug abuse (NIDA) could not yet confidentially understand that why peoples are taking drugs.
It is a known fact that when the youth become the addict of drugs nobody in the world can salvage him even the doctors can’t give any treatment except continuing the drugs to live in world. The life of drug addicts is very petite; they don’t have much time to understand flora and fauna and can’t mingle with ease into the world. The respect for everyone is going very near to the ground because they don’t have their own wisdom all the time when they have taken drugs. Nobody can’t control them even their own parents because drugs menace is a menace which stops the brain efficiency and slowly kills brain cells.
As far as Kashmir is considered, according to some figures an estimated 60 percent of students are taking drugs and ruin their future and there is no doubt that drug abuse is increasing in Kashmir and due to this hazard many have lost their innocence.
Mostly 18-35 age group as fallen in drug abuse. Horribly enough, even drugs like fluid eraser, petrol, cheery polish, heroin (popular street name include junk skag, smack), cocaine are used. These drugs make our youth unconscious and then they react very badly to others in simple words they were out of the world.
On the other hand, the parents have much hope on their wards but regrettably their wards mix their hopes with drugs. Mostly the youths who are taking drugs were toppers at one time of their institute. The question is that why these growing youth are playing with their life. Recently at my level I have asked question to drug addict youth that why they are spoiling their life and what drugs yields them and his answer was-“ I don’t like to live in world because everyone is mocking me and thus drug addiction gives me happiness.”
This indicates there is some particular reason behind this drug menace which is present in world, and hurts them like hell. Kashmir was well known for low drug abuse region but now it is increasing day by day. The major chunk of youth is converting to drugs.
The parents do everything for their wards like they send their wards outside the state for study, even some parents are not in condition to send their wards outside of state but they do every effort for their ward even the mothers sell their precious ornaments like gold which is the big property of women but regrettably their children waste their sacrifice as 60 percent are involved in drug addiction. The engrossment of taking drugs, Kashmiri has elevated up in other states. Their life becomes awful and shameless. Though the Kashmiri try to isolate from western culture but it has been estimated that a sizeable proportion of Kashmiri youth are attracted towards drug addiction which simply has generated number of crimes.
We are ignoring the fact that the parents give money to their wards but they don’t know how their wards use this money and that is the fault of parents, surely they give money because for happiness of children but regrettably they don’t know that how their children are using money in good way or bad way. At the end when drug show their disastrous results then the parents realize their mistake and they also blame their friends surely they are involved but parents should watch very carefully their respective wards- that what he is doing, he has a good company or not, personally visits wards college or school atleast thrice in month, watch his activities, performances and all other related things. There is age of teen when youth can take good way and can also take bad way so at that juncture parents should be attentive about all the activities of their wards then there is chance of positive hope. If the parents give unnecessary deal, the results would be very destructive that is they can ruin their life in early age. Stopping drug abuse can save precious life.
