The forest employees in Pulwama today accused Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu ‘s PRO, Junaid Lone, of beating to pulp one of their officers for trying to recover encroached forest land in Sangerbani forest area here in Pulwama district.
The employees of the department alleged that Lone along with dozens of PDP goons came to a spot where poles were being erected to demarcate forest land.
“He thrashed one of our officers and the goons destroyed concrete blocks laid for demarcation of the land,” the forest employees alleged.
They said that the PDP is trying to save their workers who have been squatting on forest land for many years now.
DFO Pulwama is on spot as of now and accessing the situation.
