BUDGAM NOVEMBER 26: An officers meeting was held here to review the poll preparedness and security deployment plan for all phases of Election scheduled in 8 phases from Nov 28 across district Budgam for DDC and Vacant seats of Sarpanch, Panchs and ULBs today under the chair of District Panchayat Election Officer (DC), Budgam, Mr. Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today.
While receiving brief on the arrangements from ROs and Nodal Officers, the DEO was informed that all necessary arrangements have been put in place to accomplish the job smoothly. The process relating to selection, randomization and deployment of polling staff is going on at all prescribed locations, he was informed.
The DEO said that the men, material and other required exigencies for the first phase of polling should go on time and directed designated zonal, Sectoral magistrates to keep close liaison with concerned ROs, ARO’s and other allied agencies prior to the commencement of polling.
Relating to adhering all SOP’s at all polling location affiliated to COVID-19 precautions, the DEO said that all arrangements have been made to provide all necessary equipment including PPE Kits , sanitizers, infra red thermometer to all polling parties.
The meeting was informed that the concerned BDO’s have been entrusted the job to ensure that all necessary heating, bedding, lodging and catering arrangements for designated polling staff shall be ensured at all polling locations.
SSP Budgam Mr. Amod Ashok while briefing about the security arrangements said that adequate security arrangements have been put in place to ensure smooth and transparent conduct of elections. He said a detailed deployment plan has already been formulated keeping in view the sensitive and non sensitive areas of the district.
The meeting, among others, was also attended by Election Observer, Nodal Officer Election (ADC), Police and civil officers, all Nodal officers, RO’s, ARO’s, BDO’s, Zonal, Sectoral Magistrates, SDP’O and other officers and staff associated with election process.
