In a bleak development,
the unscrupulous section of doctors at Sub District Hospital Bijbehara is allegedly prescribing patients expensive medicines instead of the ones that are available in market in very low prices, thereby depriving such crucial drugs to patients in lieu of gifts and even in cash from medical representative of different companies signalling quite unethical practises.
Meanwhile when the common people approached the medical superintendent of sub district hospital Bijbehara and awared him about the dishonest conduct of some doctors especially Dr Mohd Shafi, Dr Afroz etc, he showed cold shoulder which indicated that he too has some mutual understanding with them. Ground voices state that Doctors are working according to their own taste and are patronising their own kiths and kins by forcing the patients to go to their own clinics for the purchasement of Medicines and thus
Keeping no way out the patients are bound to recourse to higher authorities of Health Department for the investigation of the matter so that the poor patients may not suffer.
On the other hand, the government is laying much emphasising on the Health department for the smooth functioning of doctors in their hospitals so that the common people may not suffer but these instructions are being nullified by these arrogant doctors and no action is being taken against them.
