Srinagar June(KNB): After Government issues order of closing down the private schools constructed on Government land and Pastures, President J&K Private school association G.N.War said that despite of forwarding such orders govt should have taken the steps of rehabilitation and rectification in the field of education.
While talking in an exclusive interview to the News agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB war said that government is priorly aware about the fact the schools run through. He also added that their were turmoils and apathy in the last few years whether was it through the abrogation of article 370 which had its long lasting negative impression on the academics and education sector.
Further he also shed light on the negative impact of COVID 19 which put the system on halt and made the whole nation suffer, especially the education sector.
Furthermore, War said literacy rate already has receded, dropout rate at alarm, administration at this point of time was to look after and take care of such grave problem and concern which was a big challenge, through which education system is running right now.
While expressing his resentment on the stay order of honourable High Court on the functioning and construction of private schools on govt and pasture landholdings, passed by govt, he said govt during this period of uncertainty whether is it COVID 19 or post abrogation of article 370,where schools were hardly back on the track almost after a gap of 3 years ,govt was to look in to the concerns and problems of this system, but unconstitutionally and unethically passed the order, which would have its bad impact in coming time if not abrogated and withdrawn.
He also added that having a long list of schools running under private administration which lies at 300 plus and more than 2lakh students are enrolled and are getting education through private sector of education. He also remarked that it is the fundamental right of every citizen of our country under article (21a) which defines right to education, Government can not take away this choice of receiving education whether from govt or private schools and doing such is the breach of law of Indian constitution.
He also said that we will knock the doors of higher authorities and will not turn down from our motive of securing the future of our students which visibly looks to be brought at the brink of destruction by the Govt authorities.
He further added that though government once appreciated the step of opening schools and urged the entrepreneurs to invest in the sector of education, later on passing such type of laws shun the ways of prioritising education system.
“We still believe in the existing law and constitution of our country which will let the authorities to revocate the order priorly passed in respect to private schools land holding and occuption, war further said in a interview.(KNB)
