Uses digital, mass media platforms to benefit students
JAMMU, MAY 17(KNB): Directorate of School Education, Jammu has taken host of measures by exploring the digital, mass media and other platforms to enable the students to study from home.
On April 18, 2020, School Education Quality Monitoring of the Directorate of School Education Jammu hosted a Webinar on World heritage day. The Teachers from Jammu and Kashmir and Tamil Nadu participated in the event under ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ programme.
Under ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ programme, every state and union territory in the country is paired with another state or union territory and the partner states have to carry out a structured engagement with one another in different spheres like language, literature, cultural events and tourism.
The paired states and union territories have signed MoUs with each other, delineating a set of activities that would have to be carried out over a period of time.
The upcoming online Event under ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ is being held under Bhasha Sangam to celebrate India’s ethnic and linguistic diversity.
The Directorate has planned to celebrate this unique feature of the country. The Bhasha Sangam initiative under the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat is to provide multilingual exposure to students in Indian languages.
The program has been tentatively scheduled on May 20-2020. It aims at to create interest of students in different languages and a curiosity to learn more and to enhance linguistic tolerance and respect, and promote national integration. The program will be held through online mode.(KNB)
