Srinagar 19 February (KNB): The posts of Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of District Development Council (DDC) in Rajouri district were secured on Friday by National Conference and Congress candidates respectively.
The DDC’s chairperson post was secured by NC’s Advocate Naseem Liaqat and vice chairperson post was secured by Congress’s Shabir Khan on Friday.
Pertinent to mention that the similar results related to the posts of chairperson and vice chairperson were also declared recently in different districts of Kashmir.
The DDC elections are taking place for the first time in J&K after the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5th, 2019. (KNB)
