At least 30 persons were injured after police open aerial firing and teargas shelling into the funeral procession of a teen who died last night at SK Institute of Medical Sciences in Soura last night.
According to reports, Police restored to firing and teargas shelling when of 16-year-old Qaiser Sofi – a resident of Shalimar – was brought to his ancestral home in Safa Kadal at around 7 am today.
Officials said, Qaiser has taken some poisonous substance.
However, forces deployed in the area resorted to teargas shelling to prevent their march towards Eidgah, triggering clashes.
