DAK meets Director Health;apprises issues concerning doctor community

Doctors Association Kashmir delegation headed by President Dr Khalid Pervaiz, along with Executive Secretary, Dr A G Dar and Spokesperson Dr Mir Mushtaq and other executive members from other districts met Director Health Dr Saleem ur Rehman on Monday.




According to statement issued to Kashmir Scenario “the meeting was held in a very cordial atmosphere in which various issues concerning doctor fraternity were discussed. The issues discussed are as follows:-

1.Two and a half day salary to be included in the monthly pay as is seen in other employees of essential service department.

2.OPD timing to be regulated with an official break in between as is seen in rest of India.

3.In house canteen facilities to be provided in the hospitals.

4.Ordinance to be passed regarding security of Hospital staff as is already seen in other states.

5.Regular trainings of doctors in the form of CME’s short training courses,conferences which will help them in keeping abreast with the latest developments in the medical sector.

6.Proper comfortable doctors room to be provided.

7.Caderization of Medical Officers,Consultants and Dental Surgeons based on seniority.

8.Adminstrative posts to be filled according to seniority.

9.Creation of posts for dental surgeons.

10.Rationalisation of posts and specialists for better health care.

As private sector is now coming up rapidly and is playing an important part in efficient health care delivery,their issues were also disussed which are as:




1.Time bound registration of Clinics/Labs.

2.Reregistration of clinics/Labs within a specified time.

3.Registration period to be increased for a minimum of 5 years.

Director Health,Kashmir gave a patient hearing to the issues raised and gave a positive response.
