DAGGER ARTILLERY BRIGADE ORGANISES MEGA RALLY FOR UNEMPLOYED YOUTH OF BONIYAR AND URI ON 22 JUNE 2013 AT BONIYAR

In a significant development with reference to engaging youth of Kashmir Valley in meaningful employment avenues, a Mega Rally was organised by 31 Field Regiment of Army on 22 June 2013 at Boniyar to enroll unemployed youths of Boniyar and Uri block for a Vocational Training programme. The programme was organised with the help of‘ DonBosco Tech’ under the project ‘Himayat’ initiated by the Ministry of Rural Development. Approximately 400 youths including men and women of Boniyar and Uri were present in the rally.
Major General VG Khandare, Sena Medal, General Officer Commanding, Dagger Division while addressing the rally appreciated the youth who had come forward in large numbers for the Vocational Training programme. He said that the Youths are the future of this country and hence they should understand their moral responsibility in nation building. The General Officer announced that a Vocational Training Centre would soon come up at Boniyar. The proposed training centre would cater for job oriented courses for unemployed youths for duration of three months, free of cost and placement will be given to all successful trainees in different companies.
Youth were very excited with the opening of this kind of center and appreciated the joint steps taken by Army and ‘DB tech’. Mr Azad Cluster head of DbtechHimayat’ appreciated the Army for assistance provided in organising the rally and opening of the proposed centre. He said that because of Army’s continuous efforts this center is coming at Boniyar.
The locals of Boniyar and Uri appreciated the efforts of Army and called it a historical rally as this is the first time such kind of rally was organised at Boniyar. They also said that this type of steps and efforts will bring a new confidence amongst the youth and it will take them to a new platform in life.
The rally organised by the Army was immensely successful as youths turned out in large number, and displayed newly felt enthusiasm and confidence, to prove themselves in the society. On the occasion number of youth were provided offer letters.
