Srinagar, May 23 (KNB): The number of deaths due to pandemic Covid-19 in Jammu and Kashmir has risen to 21 on Saturday, with one more death of a 55-year-old woman from Urnhal area of south Kashmir.
As per the reports, the woman suffering from underlying ailments including chest infection was admitted at SKIMS Soura after she tested positive for the novel coronavirus earlier and died today at the hospital.
With her death, the toll due to the coronavirus across Union territory has risen to 21, 19 from Kashmir and 2 from Jammu division.
Jammu and Kashmir has recorded 1489 confirmed cases with 749 cases active, 21 deaths and 720 recoveries so far.(KNB)
