Police have arrested two persons in connection with the murder of a 22-year-old youth in Sumbal area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
“We have recovered bullet-riddled body earlier today from Sumbal area of District Bandipora and deceased body has been identified as Rayees Ahmad Naikoo, son of Sonaullah Naikoo, a resident of Tilgam Pattan”,said an Official.
He further said “the body had a bullet mark of 12-bore rifle near his neck.
Meanwhile a case of murder has been registered and two persons, including the owner of the bakery unit, have been arrested, he added.
After post mortem at Sumbal hospital, the body was handed over to the next of his kin, the official said, adding that an investigation has been launched to ascertain the cause and motive of his killing.
