BSNL Continues To Dupe Flood Hit Flood Subscribers On Fee Waiver

Srinagar | Already beleaguered with poor Broadband and Mobile Internet connectivity, the BSNL customers here have come in for another shock: ‘Duping on Flood Fee Waiver.’

The  BSNL Landline subscribers from the flood hit areas of Srinagar complained that they had not been given the Flood fee waiver by the BSNL.

They said the company has unilaterally  given fee waiver of approximately  469 INR irrespective of any Zero Ground Report Given by their own concerned Ground officials.

“I went to BSNL office at Sulaiman Complex three months ago to see what had happened to my Flood Fee waiver application. My application was lying in June files then and had a flood waiver of around 3000 INR as my phone was dead for around one year.”,” said a subscriber.

To his surprise, when he again visited few days ago, ” The same  application was missing from the file and my waiver was entered in computer records as 469 INR. I was so shocked that I even went to AO BSNL but nothing happened and I was told by the concerned to submit a new fresh application for flood waiver,” he said.

Another subscriber narrated the same tale and said even though he had approached the BSNL officials, nobody addressed the complaint.

When contacted GM BSNL said he will look into this matter personally.
