Srinagar 19 February (KNB): In an attack by militants in Baghat area of Srinagar on Friday, the two policemen who had got injured earlier died at the SMHS hospital.
According to officials, the two cops, Mohammad Yousuf resident of Zurhama Kupwara and Suhail Ahmad resident of Logripora Aishmuqam, died at the hospital here after being injured in an militant attack in Srinagar’s Baghat area today afternoon.
However, the Baghat’s attack takes place after the earlier engagement of forces with militants in two different encounters in Budgam and Shopian areas of Kashmir.
Pertinently, Ex-Chief Minister of J&K Omar Abdullah condemned the attack by tweeting “two police personnel have reportedly been killed in an attack in Srinagar today. I condemn this act of militant violence & send my condolences to the families of these brave men.” (KNB)
