Srinagar, Jul 24 (KNB): Senior PDP leader and MLA Sonawar Muhammad Ashraf Mir on Tuesday urged upon Governor Administration to release compensation for the people who suffered injuries and faced destruction of properties at because of the cloudburst at Dachigam area of Srinagar.
Pertinent to mention here, a cloudburst in the Dachigam mountain range has triggered flash floods in Tailbal nallah here, even as the authorities have urged locals to remain calm.
In a statement to Kashmir News Bureau, Mir said that the cloudburst and rainwater damaged standing crops in the area and properties of the local people, adding, few people are reportedly injured in the overnight incident. He said and appealed the Governor administration to assure the compensation of the affected people to meet the damages caused by the cloudburst.(KNB)
