Srinagar 12 March (KNB): Markul COB of 28 RR helped a pregnant woman and took her to hospital for medical care after the lady had developed labour pain on Friday in North Kashmir’s Dardpora area of Kupwara
As per the official communique, the army helped the pregnant lady after the distress call was received by dardpora ward member Ghulam Nabi about the lady’s labour pain.
The lady known as Khurshida Begum, wife of Muhammad Qasim, a resident of Koshy Mohalla area of Dardpora, was later carried on a stretcher by army men as the roads were full of snow.
However, an army ambulance had further helped evacuate the lady to Sogam district hospital to get her timely medical help. (KNB)
