Srinagar, August 28: A police officer who was shot at my suspected militants at Mehandi Kadal Anantnag succumbed to his injuries here in Srinagar Hospital.
Official sources told GNS that Abdul Rashid Pir was injured critically after militants opened fire upon him near Mehandi Kadal today afternoon. Pir was rushed to district hospital Anantnag where from he was referred to Srinagar Hospital they said.
Later Pir succumbed to his injuries here in SKIMS hospital.(GNS)
