Srinagar 3 April(KNB):Residents of Qamarabad Srinagar have a new issue on hand One poultry farm in residential area near new General Bus Stand Qamarwari is proving to be a nightmare to those living there.The poultry farm which is situated in Qamarabad Qamarwari near new General Bus Stand has no proper waste disposal and is unhygienic.

Local residents while talking to Kashmir News Bureau told that amid Covid-19 unhygienic condition and odour generation from Poultry farm can become reason for outbreak of contagious diseases in the locality.

In spite of many live poultry farms in Srinagar city most public sentiment towards them seems to be either vehement disgust or obliviousness, with people simply wondering what the bad smell is when passing by certain poultry farms as Odour generation,unhygenic conditions and mites in the farms are major problems in these farms which can lead to outbreak of various diseases added locals while talking to Kashmir News Bureau Correspondent.

It is pertinent to mention that Outbreak of Covid-19  in Kashmir has alerted the People of various areas  to pull up City’s poultry farming industry for maintaining low hygeine levels in the farms as there is enough research to prove unhygienic conditions of poultry farms make a perfect breeding ground for several diseases.

There are many residential areas around the poultry farm located at Qamarabad near new General Bus Stand Qamarwari, which is always buzzing with flies and odour generation has made lives of people bad as there are no veterinarians or Muncipal officers to check the health of the chickens and no proper check for hygiene.

Locals while talking to Kashmir News Bureau  appealed Manyor of Srinagar and Sanitary inspectors to ensure strict enforcement of the state Public Health Edict in order to safeguard people’s health.(KNB)
