Handwara 30 March(KNB):With the help of the army today in Jammu and Kashmir, a woman who was in dire need of treatment due to leg fracture was evacuated to hospital by Army’s 30 RR amid lockdown.
The Army came to help the woman at the right time and admitted her to Qalamabad Hospital in North Kashmir Handwara as distraught family of the patient was unable to carry her to hospital because of lockdown.
An Army official told Kashmir News Bureau Correspondent that Shortly after getting input about a lady paient stuck in a village called Lach in Mawer Qalamabad area of North Kashmir a team of A Coy 30RR Qalamabad along with police rushed to the spot and rescued a woman with leg fracture-related complications and carried her to Hospital in a Army vehicle.
Company Commander A Coy 30RR Qalamabad told Kashmir News Bureau “that we got a call on Monday from a local resident saying a lady with leg fracture-related complications is in dire need to be ferried to hospital how’ver the distraught family isn’t in a position to take her to hospital. We Immediately without wasting any time a team was sent to the said village and the lady was ferried to Qalamabad Hospital for further treatment.”
Family members of the said lady while talking to Kashmir News Bureau thanked Indian army and highly applauded the prompt response and favour of Army’s 30RR.
Meanwhile Keeping in line with the policy “Awaam meri Jaan”the mobile numbers of the army camps have been shared with the locals with a promise of assured assistance.
People of the area appreciated the friendly gesture of Army.
