Is Mehbooba throwing PDP into a deep well ?

Srinagar: As hectic parleys to form government between Peoples Democratic Party and Bhartiya Janta Party are about to ripe in shape of government formation, the bigger question arises what is the face saver for PDP.
From return of power projects to dialogue on Kashmir dispute nothing seems to have been achieved by the PDP and it seems even getting the government formation done has taxed PDP a lot.
Political pundits say -“PDP few weeks ago seemed was playing on strong turf and now from few days it seems that it has totally gone on weak turf. BJP has displayed rigdity and now looks that PDP has had to compromise on everything and is gaining just power but at much political cost with no evident face saver.”
If this new government is formed PDP seems to have dug a deep political well and it will be difficult for the party to come out of it, at least not in the next elections. Only a miracle seems can save PDP, as not only few top leaders are against the alliance, but the party’s cadre and vote bank have already opposed the alliance with BJP. The important and interesting thing is to see how Mehbooba Mufti handles the whole situation and where she takes the state that has given her party a fractured mandate.
