After Bhatnagar’s wife, son tested positive, LG assigns duties to Advisior Sharma

Srinagar, May 27(KNB): For a time being all duties and functions of the departments allocated to Advisor RR Bhatnagar were discharged by Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu on Wednesday as he has been sent to quarantine after his wife and son tested positive for Covid-19.

Lieutenant Governor assigned all the duties and functions of Bhatnagar to advisor K K Sharma till the former DG, CRPF, resumes the office after the expiry of the mandatory period of quarantine prescribed by the health department, the order issued here reads.

Pertinently, Bhatnagar has been sent to quarantine after his wife and son tested positive for the novel coronavirus upon their return from New Delhi to Jammu, they are said to be doing fine with no symptoms at all.

Bhatnagar’s wife a doctor in new Delhi along with her son were tested immediately on arrival to Jammu and were placed under quarantine as per the protocol.

However, both were admitted to a hospital in Katra in Reasi district as the test results returned positive for the virus.

Meanwhile, Bhatnagar has also been placed under quarantine in a nearby guest-house facility.(KNB)
