In a significant political development senior Advocate High Court of J&K Nazir Ahmad Malik from Bandipora joined today National conference in a jampacked function at Party Headquarters Nawai Subh Complex, Srinagar.
Dawned by hundreds of supporters Nazir Ahmad Malik reached the party headquarters , with function being attended by rank and file of National conference including former Chief Minister Omer Abdullah , Akbar lone former Minister and MLA Sumbal ,Ali Mohammad Sagar senior leader and MLA Khanyar and Nasir Sogami Provincial president along with scores of leaders and workers .
In his speech, Omar Abdullah stated – ” We welcome the renowned Advocate and well known personality of Bandipora Nazir Ahmad Malik to our party fold, I had been persuing him since 2014 to join NC but finally it matured today .We are now attracting more grassroot voices to our party and do not believe in dynasty but merit of person .We are also going to preserve article 35 A with full force and as we know different dirty tactics were used our party when we passed autonomy resolution. The personality of Advocate Nazir Malik will strengthen the party in entire state not just in a selected region.”
Pertinently, as Omar Abdullah was scheduled to address the party rally at Baramulla, he stretched his speech for about 45 minutes seeing the enthusiasm of supporters of Advocate Nazir Malik.
Advocate Nazir Malik in his speech expressed gratitude to his supporters and party high command for Grand welcome and observed -” NC is the only vibrant regional force that can stop the rise of RSS hate politics that is also aimed to scuttle the special status of State especially our Autonomy related Paradigms .I vow to serve the interests of masses and carry the vision of party forward in right direction “
