Srinagar Police has constituted a special team to nab the culprits involved in acid attack on a Law student at Nowshera Srinagar.
Station House Officer Soura, Mushtaq Ahmed said that they have got some important leads and hopefully culprits will be arrested soon. “We received a phone call from Srinagar Airport while the caller informed us that a white maruti ‘MANSA’ sticker at rear side is parked there. We sent our team there but could not locate the car,” he said. Mushtaq Ahmed added that the culprits might have gone to airport to leave the Valley. “We have sent a team to Airport on Friday to collect the CCTV footage,” he said. “Police is on toes to nab the culprits. We have been leaving no stone unturned to get these culprits arrested and I assure people that they would be nabbed soon,” he said. Meanwhile, another police officer said that scores of acid sellers were called to police station for questioning. “We are collecting all the details about the persons who procured acid from these sellers in recent past,” he said and added that the culprits will get arrested in a short span of time.
