Srinagar 16 January (KNB): The administration of Covid19 vaccine is starting from this morning at the Skims Soura following the Central government’s decision to give shots of the vaccine on 16 January throughout the country to the prioritised group — frontline workers, healthcare workers, people aged above 50 and the ones below 50 with comorbidities.
Medical Superintendent, Skims Soura, who had recently said to Kashmir News Bureau that eight booths had been put up for the vaccination along with the proper waiting and observation areas. He had further said that the manpower required during the administration of Covid19 vaccine was all prepared.
According to officials, different centres have been designated across the J&K for giving the shots of vaccines to the beneficiaries from today.
As the pandemic has claimed millions of lives across the world, every country’s government has been in the quest of making the vaccine to contain the spread of Coronavirus. Similarly, India has come up with the vaccines — Covaxin and Covishield to protect its citizens from the deadly infection of SARS CoV2 which is to be given the prioritised group from today across the country.
