Police rescuse 29 bovines in Rajouri

RAJOURI. Sept 19: Rajouri police here has rescued twenty nine bovines foiling two separate bids of smuggling in Kotranka Kandi and Thanamandi.

According to police official, a Goods Carrier vehicle JK11A 5169 was moving on Thanamandi road when a naka party of Police intercepted it and during frisking, nine animals were found loaded which were rescued.

Smugglers namely Khaliq Ahmed son of Mohd Shafi resident of Lah and Mudassir Iqbal son of Abdul Karim resident of Jawahar Nagar were arrested on the spot.
Case under relevant sections has been registered by police in Thanamandi.

Police naka was led by SHO Thanamandi Karan Chalotra under the supervision of SDPO Thanamandi Chowdhary Iftikar.

 

Besides a police team from Kandi also foiled a bovine smuggling bid.
Naka was laid by a team led by SHO Kandi Arun Kotwal whig foiled the bid and arrested a smuggler Mohd Bashir son of Umardaraaz resident of Draj.

Twenty animals were rescued from the spot and a case in relevent section has been registered at Kandi police station.
