Govt. to constitute committee, frame up policy
Srinagar, Jan 20 : PDP’s upper house member and Srinagar’s district president Mohammad Khurshid Alam has been informed by the finance minister that the government is constituting a committee about the disbursement of 7th pay commission arrears and that the effect for the same shall be given from Jan 2016.Alam, earlier while taking part in the discussion over the recently presented Budget, had asked the government to make announcement over the disbursement of the arrears of the 7th pay commission- the announcement of which was made by Dr Drabu during the ongoing budget session. Alam while hailing the government had termed the budget people friendly- stating that it has been drafted while keeping the downtrodden in mind.
Meanwhile, the finance minister while replying Alam’s assertions said the government is all set to constitute a committee that will frame a comprehensive that will address the issue of disbursement of arrears to the government employees. Drabu said the effect for the arrears shall be given from Jan 2016 and shall be given in cash for the government employees from April 2018. (KNS)
