Three Hizbul Mujahideen militants were killed in a gunfight between government forces and militants in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday, police said.
According to police official, three militants have so far been killed in the firefight that erupted after militants fired on a search party in Silgam area of Aishmuqam today afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Adil, Amir and Arif – all residents of Bijbehara, said an official.
He said the bodies are yet to be retrieved from the encounter site and that a combing operation has been launched
