‘Slain militants belonged to LeT’
Srinagar, Mar 09: Two militants and a civilian were killed in an encounter at Padgampora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.Director General Police Dr. S P Vaid confirmed to KNS the killing of two militants and a civilian in the encounter. He said one civilian hit by a stray bullet during the encounter was also killed.
The slain civilian has been identified as Amir Nazir resident of Beegambagh Pulwama. The slain militants have been identified as Jehangir Ganai and Shafat Shergujri, both locals.
Authorities also suspended Kashmir train services from Banihal to Srinagar apprehending protests along the south Kashmir tracks. (KNS)
