Srinagar, May 13 (KNB): The number of total positive cases of novel Coronavirus rose to 970 in Jammu and Kashmir, after 37 more people tested positive on Wednesday and one death from Jammu division.
As per the reports, among the 37 new positive cases 20 are from Anantnag District, 07 from Budgam , 01 each from Baramulla and Kulgam Districts while 05 Samples tested positive from Jammu Division.
According to SKIMS Officials, out of 1726 samples tested at viral diagnostic lab of the tertiary care hospital, 13 came out to be positive including seven from Budgam , five from Basoli Jammu and one from Baramulla.
Moreover, 1163 samples were processed at CD Hospital Srinagar’s Microbiology Lab twenty-one among them came out to be positive for covid-19 including 20 are from Anantnag, 8 from District Police Lines, 2 from Kharpora Kokernag, 6 from Seer Hamdan, one each from Bantengoo , Naibasti ,Fresal and Khiritaj while the last case reported at CD hospital is from Mohammadpora Kulgam.
Meanwhile, a 75-year-old man from Jammu became 11th victim of the novel coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir taking the total death toll to 11 across union territory.
As of now, a total of 970 cases are confirmed in the union territory Jammu and Kashmir with 469 cases active, 11 deaths and 455 recoveries so far.(KNB)
