UJC terms Nov 6 as tragic day in Kashmir history

Pays tribute to 1947 martyrs



Srinagar, Nov 03 : Terming November 6 as ‘a tragic day’ in Kashmir history, United Jihad Council (UJC) on Thursday paid tributes to the martyrs who were killed on this day in 1947.

In an e-mailed statement issued to KNS, UJC spokesman, Sadaqat Hussain while quoting the outfit chief, Syed Salah-ud-din while addressing a special meeting of UJC as saying that “On this day in 1947, the goons of RS and their activists under the protection of Maharaja Forces killed countless Muslims in Jammu while the RSS and their activists in during days are patrolling the Jammu areas and are trying to repeat the episode of 1947.”




He said that “it stands the responsibility of people and leaders to respect the sacrifices of Jammu Muslims. The sacrifices of Jammu Muslims oblige that the freedom struggles should be continued till the freedom of Jammu and Kashmir. The formula or any solution excluding Jammu people is unacceptable.”

UJ chief said, “Since the martyrdom of Burhan Wani, the Indian forces in Kashmir are committing atrocities on Kashmiris to suppress their voices but the people despite that are showing resistance to achieve their goal.”

While condemning the continuous detention of separatist leaders, activists, and arrests spree in Kashmir, UJC chief said, “the freedom struggle in Kashmir will continue and the day is not far when Kashmiris will achieve their goal.”


Meanwhile, the spokesman quoting General Secretary of the outfit, Sheikh Jameel-ur-Rehman as saying that “UJC is going to organize a function in Kotli on January 6 where UJC leaders will also address a press conference.” (KNS)
