Srinagar, June 13(KNB): Two unidentified militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday.
As per the the reports, a joint team of Police, Army’s 19RR and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Nipora, the search operation soon turned in to an encounter as the hiding militants fired upon them which was retaliated by the joint team, triggering an encounter.
Two militants have been killed so far, however, the identity of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained.
The operation was still going on, as per the last reports.(KNB)
