Doda, May 17(KNB): A militant was killed in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on Sunday morning during an ongoing encounter with security forces, which also led to the death of a Army soldier.
According to the reports a joint team of Police, army’s 10 RR launched cordon search operation based on intelligence inputs in Dachhlana Padyarna and soon turned into an encounter when the suspected militants opened fire at the forces, who then retaliated, triggering an encounter.
Meanwhile, a militant and army soldier was killed in the encounter while the identification of both is yet to be ascertained.
Earlier, two Hizbul Mujahideen militants were arrested in Doda district past month.
