Shopian 19 February (KNB): In an encounter in South Kashmir’s Shopian district, three Al Badr militants were killed in an operation that continued overnight after the joint team of Army and Police launched the CASO in the area.
Officials confirmed that three Al Badr outfit militants were killed in an overnight operation in Badigam area of Shopian district.
The militants killed in an encounter had fired upon the security forces when the cordon and search operation was launched in the area, following which forces retaliated with the same response.
The police today tweeted that “03 unidentified militants killed. Incriminating materials including arms & ammunition recovered. Search going on. Further details shall follow.”
However, officials have not confirmed any further details regarding the slain militants as of now. (KNB)
