Srinagar | Nov 05 : Democratic freedom party today expressing deep grief over the killing of a teenager Qaisar Ahmad Sofi due to torture by police. Freedom party said this is yet another black deed by police authorities.
In a statement issued to PTK, general secretary of Freedom party Moulana Abdullah Tari said the state administration and police are responsible for the death of Qaisar.
Tari termed it extremely unfortunate that some police officers for petty material gains are proving themselves as more loyal than king and as such are making their livelihood by committing such heinous crimes.
He said police must bear in mind that the power of uniform is short-lived and “at the end of the day you have to live and die among your own people whom you are killing, maiming and massacring”.
Moulana Tari strongly condemned the teargas shelling on funeral saying, “PDP has surpassed all the records of hooliganism and has created a history of inflicting limitless tyranny and brutality on people. (PTK)
