Kishtwar 03 (KNB): Kishtwar Police has solved a burglary case in Jawalapur area, registered at Police station Kishtwar. With the arrest of two thieves, Kishtwar Police recovered the stolen items.
In a statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB, “on a written complaint lodged by one Aashiq Ali S/o Ghulam Nabi Wani and others residents of Binoon Jawlapur, stating therein that during the intervening night of 25-06-2022, some unknown burglars barged in their house and 03 Shops and decamped with cash and electronic/household items.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR No. 148/2022 U/S 457/380 IPC was registered at P/S Kishtwar and investigation taken up.
Meanwhile SSP Kishtwar Sh. Shafqat Hussain Batt-JKPS Constituted a special team led by PSI Vinay Sharma under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs Kishtwar Sh. Vishal Gupta-JKPS
During the course of investigation, SIT rounded up several suspects and finally succeeded in arresting the thieves involved in the said burglary case.
The accused persons are identified as 1) Irshad Ahmed S/o Jan Mohd 2) Irshad Ahmed s/o Mohd Hayat both residents of Kahara Distt. Doda who during interrogation confessed their involvement in execution of crime and stolen items viz, #06 Android mobile phones, 01 keypad Mobile phone, 01 digital camera, 01 laptop bag, & other items were recovered accordingly.
Further investigation is going on and some more recoveries in other theft cases is expected, statement added.(KNB)
