Jammu, Feb. 14 : Peoples democratic party PDP has decided to nominate seven candidates for the legislative
Council elections. Kashmir scenario has learnt from reliable sources that the party high command has given its nod to the first list of candidates that include Inayatullah (Kargil), Yasir Reshi (Sonawari) Surinder Singh Choudary (Rajori), Javid Ahmad Mirchal (Karnah). The party sources said that another list of three candidates Saif ud din Bhat (Khansahab),Mohamamd Rafi Mir (Pahalgam) and Mohammad Khurshid Alam(Srinagar) is also being given a thought, however no final decision in this regard has been taken as of now.. Sources in the party told Kashmir scenario that the list of first four candidates has been almost finalized and the formal announcement from the party was expected shortly.
Meanwhile a senior leader of the party told Kashmir scenario on the conditions of anonymity that Mehbooba Mufti who is camping in New Delhi would be holding meeting of some key members of the party there to finalize the list of all candidates. Sources added that the party has zeroed- in on the candidates who have lost with mere margins in the assembly elections, so that the people of their constituencies do not feel
ignored and isolated.
