Srinagar: National Innovation Foundation (NIF) Department of Science & Technology Govt.of India is organizing IGNITE 13 award function on February 19, 2014 at Ravi J Mathai Auditorium, IIM Ahmedabad.
Earlier the award ceremony was scheduled to be held on Nov19 2013 which was postponed due to some unavoidable circumstances NIF sources told. Two students namely Mahira Akhter and Marifath Akhter of 10th class from Maryam Memorial Institute Kupwara are likely to receive IGNITE award at IIM Ahmadabad from ex-president and scientist Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam for their idea “Printing ink for keeping students fresh while reading”.38 students from 25 districts of 17 states of the country are likely to receive IGNITE Award at function. The IGNITE is an exclusive program sponsored by NIF to harness the creativity in children from across the country. There will be also an innovation exhibition of children’s ideas and innovations.
