LAWDA demolishes 4 illegall structures being raised during lockdown period

Srinagar,April 6 (KNB): Lakes and Water Ways Development Authority Srinagar today demolished four illegal structures in Konkhan Dalgate, Drogjan Dalgate and Shahdad Bagh Habak area.
According to a press issued to KNB,
a demolition drive was carried out by the LAWDA through its Enforcement Wing in the area of Konkhan Dalgate, Drogjan Dalgate and Shahdad Bagh Habak Srinagar in which three illegal structures were demolished including two Residential houses and two Shops which were raised illegally by a violators.
“It is a pertinent to mention here that these illegal structures have been constructed during current Lock Down period in the valley in view of Covid-19.The Enforcement wing despite the restrictions managed to move down such illegal constructions and will continue with the demolition of such construction in future,” statement reads.

“During this Covid-19 when whole world including the valley is under the threat of this pandemic disease, the violators are busy in constructing illegal structures, such violators may be Social Boycotted.However, all the public residing with the LDA jurisdiction are hereby directed that not to go for any sort of legal/illegal constructions as the Authority has earlier issue the notice for banning of all type of constructions during the Lock Down Period. Further, more all the Tipper/Load Carrier Owners/Drivers are once again directed not carry construction material in the prohibited area,”it added.
