J&K records 139 new Covid19 cases, death toll at 33

 

Srinagar, June 03 (KNB): With a constant hike in positive cases of Covid-19 across Jammu and Kashmir, 139 more people including 26 pregnant women and a quarantine staff tested positive for the virus on Wednesday.

As per the reports, among the fresh cases 30 were reported from Jammu division while 109, were reported from Kashmir including travelers and 26 pregnant women taking the overall tally of the patients in J&K to 2857.

The positive cases include one from Anantnag, two from Kulgam, fourteen from Srinagar, ten from Kupwara, twenty-seven from Baramulla, twenty-four from Shopian, nine from Bandipora, six from Budgam, thirteen from Pulwama, three from Ganderbal, ten from Jammu, three from Udhampur, ten from Poonch, three from Samba and four from Rajouri.

Pertinently, twelve members of the quarantine Staff in a school designated as quarantine centre have tested positive for novel Coronavirus which include team of Nodal Officer , Municipality Officials , Service Providers from PDD and PHE, Cooks besides ANCs , Elderly and people with compromised immunity levels, while ten others have been sent to administrative quarantine.

As of now, 2857 have been confirmed for the Coronavirus with 1732 active cases, 953 recoveries and 33 deaths.(KNB)
