J&K Crosses 1000 Mark with 19 fresh Covid19 infections

Srinagar, May 15(KNB): With nineteen more persons testing positive for Coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir, the total number of such cases in the union territory has crossed the 1000 mark.
As per the reports, among the nineteen new positive cases ten are from Kashmir division with 06 from Baramulla, 01 from each Bandipora and Pulwama 02 from Srinagar including gatekeeper at SMHS, five from Jammu division 01 from Rajouri 02 from Kathua and 02 from Udhampur while two other cases are of non locals.
According to SKIMS Officials, eight samples which were processed at hospital’s viral diagnostic lab returned positive of the virus including six from Baramulla and one each from Pulwama and Bandipora districts.
Moreover, out of 655 samples processed at CD Hospital Srinagar’s Microbiology Lab, 12 came out to be positive for virus , including mostly travelers.
As of now, a total of 1013 cases are confirmed in the union territory Jammu and Kashmir with 489 cases active, 11 deaths and 513 recoveries so far.(KNB)
