Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Tuesday witnessed ruckus as the lawmakers exchanged blows on some very serious issues prevailing in the State.
Members from main opposition National Conference (NC) demanded a discussion on Article 35 A that holds a unique status for permanent residents of Kashmir.
On Monday, the Assembly had turned into a wrestling ring that resulted into injuries to a lawmaker and Marshal. Also many NC and Congress leaders raised banners, climbed chairs and tables.
In both the sessions, Opposition leaders raised much important question of the beef ban. NC members with opposition leader Omar Abdullah questioned PDP-BJP government as to why they approached the Supreme Court, if the legislature had ample powers to scrap the 1932 provision in the Ranbir Penal Code prohibiting cow slaughter.
NC lawmakers also demanded a discussion over beef ban, while Congress leaders sought a special session on rehabilitation of flood victims and imposition of service tax on helicopters services for Vishno Devi
