The Salman Khan-starrer Jai Ho collected Rs.9.5 crore at the box office on Monday. With this, the total collection of the movie in the domestic market touched Rs.70.18 crore.
Since there is no other big release slated for the next week, it is estimated that the movie will at least make Rs.100 crore. It is noteworthy here that the last five Salman Khan films have all been in the Rs.100-crore club. The trend started with Dabangg and continued through Ready, Bodyguard, Ek Tha Tiger and Dabangg-2.
Khan’s latest, Jai Ho, failed to make a grand opening at the box office with total collections of Rs.17.50 crore on Friday. The collections even dropped further to Rs.16.25 crore. Just as critics started dubbing the film as a flop, it bounced back into business at the box office on Sunday. On January 26, it grossed around Rs.26.25 crore.
