Three gunmen opened fire on Shai mosque in Bogra district of Bangladesh during the prayers last night, official said.
Daily Star reported ” 70-year-old imam of the mosque was killed and three other people injured when three gunmen opened fire on worshippers.
Meanwhile Islamic State (IS) has taken the responsibility of the attack on the Shia mosque,” the SITE Intelligence group said.
Moyazzem Hossain iman of the mosque died on shot while other three are injured, they said.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in a statement said those who raided mosques were not “true Muslims” while she ordered law enforcement agencies to launch a probe into the incident.
