Jammu, March 1st: Time Code Events, Sunrise Films, Pied Piper Productions, J&K Tourism, Simula Infrastructure, in collaboration with J&K State Social Welfare Board organised a mega cultural event titled, Funtoosh Jashn-e-Riyasat 2014 at Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu on 1st March. Funtoosh, an idea of 4 talented youth of Kashmir, Sibath Qureshi, Shehla Arif, Rayees Mohiuddin and Abrar Ali, belonging to the field of arts, showcased new and innovative ideas, depicting the rich Cultural heritage and Tradition of the State.
Minister for Housing, Horticulture, Culture, Youth Services and Sports Mr. Raman Bhalla was the Chief Guest, while Chairperson J&K State Social Welfare Board Smt. Khem Lata Wakhlu, was the Guest of Honour.
Mr. Bhalla exhorted the role of youth in preserving and promoting the rich culture and art of the State. He lauded the efforts of organisers and artists for exposing the youth to their ethos and heritage in such a magnificent manner adding that these event provide a inspiring platform for the performers adding that the artists, writers and musicians have depicted the state’s cultural diversity beautifully through their skill and expertise in the event . 
Speaking on the occasion Mrs Wakhlu said that Funtoosh has brought the feeling of bliss and spring cheerfulness among the people and provided a happening place to sum up their old memories of incredible Kashmir. She appreciated the organisers for depicting Kashmir through the various shows and stressing on the significance of art and culture. She lauded the hidden talents of the youth in the field of performing arts assured to provide them a suitable platform to explore their talents in front of their own people.
Secretary Press Club of Jammu, Mr. Suhail Kazmi, Secretary J&K State Social Welfare Board, Mr. Aamir Ali, Executive Director J&K Power Development Corporation Er. Zahoor Ahmed Chat, besides large number of music lovers were also present on the occasion. The participants gave the organisers a standing ovation for each event and enjoyed the show.
