IGP Kashmir visits Bandipora, Sopore and Baramulla
Srinagar May 01: “To come up to the expectations of the people we should work with dedication and commitment”, this was emphasized upon by IGP Kashmir Shri SJM Gillani during his addresses and interactions with officers and jawans during day long visit to Sopore, Bandipora and Baramulla.
Shri SJM Gillani during his visit to Bandipora, police district Sopore and district Baramulla took stock of security, law and order besides day to day policing of these districts. IGP Kashmir first visited Bandipora and chaired a senior officers meet which was attended by DIG North Kashmir Sh. Garib Dass, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Sh. Shah Faisal, SP Bandipora Sh. Shabir Ahmad, Addl. SP Bandipora Sh.Mohammed Yusuf and all SDPOs and SHOs of the district.
IGP in his address stressed upon the officers to display utmost professionalism and to brief the deployments on the ground to exercise maximum restraint while dealing with any law and order situation. He said that the security apparatus should be tightened to deal with militancy related incidents. The IGP was briefed by SP Bandipora regarding the security and law and order situations in the district.
Later, IGP visited police District Sopore and district Baramulla and discussed all the issues pertaining to the day to day policing and welfare of men with the district officers.
Sh. Gillani chaired officers’ meeting at District Police office Baramulla. The meeting was attended by DIG Baramulla Sh Garib Dass, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Sh Peerzada Mushtaq Ahmed,SSP Baramulla Sh Sohail Munawar Mir, Commanding officers of CRPF, SSB and IRP Bns, SDPOs and SHOs of Baramulla..
IGP also chaired a meeting at Sopore with DIG North Kashmir Range Sh. Garib Dass , Shri Abdul Qayoom SSP Sopore and all SDPOs and SHOs.
In these meetings IGP stressed upon the field officers to take steps to tackle crime in the district and directed for speedy and transparent investigations.
IGP also chaired Darbars of all ranks of Baramulla and PD Sopore and gave patient hearing to the grievances and problems of the personnel. The IGP Kashmir assured that problems being faced by the men will be looked on merits and every step will be taken to mitigate the problems on priority.
IGP also emphasized upon all officers to work with dedication and commitment to come up to the expectations of people of providing them better services of policing. Before this the IGP had visited Kupwara last week.
