SRINAGAR | Kashmir Economic Alliance said Trade Community was expecting relief and rehabilitation for flood victims but they have been disappointed with meager Rs 8000 crore.
“Though good amount has been kept for infrastructure development but flood victims have been left to fend for themselves,” said KEA vice-chairman Farooq Ahmed Dar.
He said it was eyewash and PM has just tried to befool people.
He said Omar Abdullah led state government has proposed much more for flood hit Trade and Business Community which has been just reduced to Rs 800 crore.
“We had asked soft loans for the business community so that the business units which were hit by the floods could be rebooted. But there is nothing for them,” said Dar. “PM Modi visited Kashmir over a year before and made many promises. Now even after a year, he has not fulfilled those promises. All his promises have turned out to be fake.”
