An invitational Golf tournament organised by Eventos was held at Royal Spring Course where at least 80 participants from various states of India took part.
During the tournament titled “Horizon Concepts Private Limited-invitational Golf tournament ”, the winner was Deen Wali , while the runner up was Rayees Ahmed and second runner up was Danish Khan.
The long drive went for IGP Crime Muneer Ahmed Khan and Straight drive turned out into a tie between NC patron Dr Farooq Abdullah and Ishfaq Hussaini.
The Horizon Group has promised to make this gold tournament an annual feature in Kashmir. “We will create housing colonies here,” said Mr Sabwaral Chairman Horizon group.
Secretary tourism, Farooq Ahmed Shah made an inaugural shot of the tournament at 8 am.
“The foreign golfers will also come here to play golf. It will boost our economy. We are working on that proposal and hope they will come to other places like Gulmarg and Pahalgam to boost our tourism and golf,” he told Kashmir Scenario on phone..
Secretary Royal Spring Golf Course Nuzhat Gull said they were pleased to host this tournament here. “It will help us to open more and more opportunities in future,” she said.
The chief guest at the occasion was Minister for R&B Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari. ” I remember when Mufti Syed in 2002 took over as the chief minister, Farooq Abdullah had then asked him to take care of this very golf course. We are taking that mission of Farooq Abdullah to next levels. We are going to make more and more golf courses here,”
