Kashmiri students shine
The prestigious Dr IT Group organized its 6th Annual 2 days Sports Meet in its campus at Banur which started on March 22nd-2013. Prof. P. P. Arya, Managing Director declared the meet open by motivating the students to show their brilliance through sportsmanship. Both students and staff participated with full enthusiasm and zeal in various events.
The main dignitary present on the occasion was Mr. Jeet Singh, Principal of National College of physical Education, Chubki, Speaking on the occasion he appreciated the growth of Dr IT Group. On the occasion Chief Guest said that he was delighted to watch the Synchronize March Past and Drill displays, He appreciated Sports events organized and said that Sports is so essential element and it is the vision of the Institute to develop according to their potential and nurture. It helps in developing the aesthetic skills like special intelligence, logistic intelligence and intra structural potentialities.
Speaking on the occasion Chairperson of the group CA M.K. Mahajan said that a child will become an Engineer, a sports person an artist a photographer or journalist based on parents and teachers grooming them. He said that Aim and the focus of Dr IT Group is to identify inherent potentiality of the Children and encourage them to Learn.
While appreciating the efforts of the students, Prof. P.P. Arya said that sports leads to confidence and complete development of one’s personality & is an important element of education system. He said that Dr IT Group is an esteemed institution bringing out the hidden talents by developing challenging spirit, fit and reaching their goals means of achievement and through extraordinary support.
Later the programme was followed by many events like 100 mts running race, volleyball, relay Race and programs like Chess, Dumbbells, Ludo , and , Leapstart participants presented impressive and mind blowing performances and entertained the audience.
While closing the meet Dr.Geetanjli Bhatnagar, Principal of the Institute gave vote of thanks to the Chief Guest & appreciated the overall conduct of the event.
On the occasion Kashmiri students shined and proved their mettle via excellent performnance.Volleyball winners were kashmiri boys in leadership of Ishfaq. Tug of war winners : Kashmiri boys in leadership of Malik Sameed.
Ishfaq Hamid from pulwama was adjudged best athlete among boys and Shivani Khurana among girls.
