Srinagar 26 March (KNB): Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir has instituted an enquiry into the circumstances of clear lapses by the Skims Medical College Bemina also know as JVC over the mishandling of Covid-19 Patient hailing from Hyderpora Srinagar, who now has become the first death in Kashmir.
The Divisional Commissioner letter accessed by the Kashmir News Bureau clearly mentions how protocol was violated by the JVC by not informing Administration and Police on getting to know about the Covid -19 suspect, and then same lapses were seen in handling of the patient.
It also mentions how the negligence primary of SKIMS Medical college Bemina has given patient enough time to mingle with public, his near and dear ones thus allowing transmission of the virus.
The letter also mentions that how well the hospital was aware about the travel history of the patient and did not act seriously.
In this regard the Medical Superintendent and Head Chest Medicine SKIMS Medical college Bemina have to explain their position and enquiry stands ordered under Additional Commissioner Kashmir Tasadaq Hussain Mir.
It reflects how the pivotal Institution of health care in Kashmir under the Principal Dr. Reyaz Untoo has witnessed downslide and at this critical juncture of Corona virus havoc letting efforts of adminstration to contain spread of virus go down the drain.(KNB)
