Covid19: SMC Corporator tests positive

Srinagar 05 May(KNB): A SMC corporator of ward Kawdara whose brother concealed travel history tested positive for deadly covid19 on Tuesday in Srinagar Hospital.

According to reports reached to Kashmir News Bureau, SMC Corporator tested positive today in Srinagar hospital which created panic among the smc employees.

Smc Official wishing anonymity confirmed the development to KNB and said Corporator has tested positive for covid 19, however administration staff will work.”while Mayor Staff is under home quarantine.

Meanwhile, Over 50 employees are instructed to remain under isolation and home quarantine.

Srinagar Municipal Corporation Mayor Junaid Azim Mattu said in view of the brother of an SMC colleague testing positive for the virus, nearly 50 SMC corporators, officers and employees have been placed under isolation and home quarantine.

“The isolation will last till the corporator in question tests negative. I’m also going into self-isolation till then,” said Mr. Mattu.(KNB)
